Project Overview
This 2-year project has three main components: mobility, economic development, and technology. Using the circuit rider concept, we propose a Netmobile (see photos for prototype) that will be deployed to deliver information technology services to network businesses and communities in ways that greatly improves their utilization of technology and thus, for this impoverished region, help level the playing field with more developed regions. The project will replicate but update the successful Netmobile model developed several years ago (light years in the world of technology) by the University of Texas at Pan America (UTPA). Benefiting from this project will be communities, businesses, entrepreneurs, and the workforce in the Mississippi Delta in Arkansas, a 41-county region facing chronic economic distress.

Our Mission
Assist businesses and institutions in the Delta by deploying a mobile technology unit that will facilitate substantial increases in the customers' use of the Internet as a tool for obtaining information to solve problems and exploit opportunities.

What is a NETmobile?
The NETmobile is a wireless mobile office equipped with Internet access via satellite link provided by Skycasters Satellite Internet. The NETmobile is capable of setting up in a meeting room for larger groups to demonstrate what you can do with access to the Internet. We want to provide you access to the Internet and train you to use the Internet to build, enhance, augment, and improve your business. We will refer you to different modes of help. For example, potentially your local library, the State Library, National and International business resources.

Our Goal
Our goal is to make sure that technology is made available to all of the Delta Region, enhance business, schools, local governments and anyone who desires to know more about what the Internet can do for them. We want a win-win situation every time.
