Anchor Packaging to Break Ground on $40 Million Expansion

June 19, 2008 - Anchor Packaging will break ground Friday on a new $40 million expansion of its Paragould manufacturing facility, resulting in 120 new jobs.

Governor Mike Beebe will join local, state and company leaders at the event.

The St. Louis company announced in May that it would expand the Paragould operation.

The groundbreaking will take place at 10 a.m. at the company facility at 2211 N. 12th Avenue.

The company produces packaging for restaurants, supermarkets and food processors. It has had a plant at Paragould for more than 20 years, and currently employs 540 people. In addition to the manufacturing facility at Paragould, the company also has a distribution center at Paragould along with another manufacturing facility at Marmaduke.
